At the Monmouth County SPCA, the Humane Law Enforcement Division responded to a call reporting a dog left abandoned in a crate at the Jersey Shore Premium Outlets. Officers have been checking for surveillance videos and interviewing potential witnesses.

The young dog is an un-neutered male dachshund mix who is scared, but still has been very friendly. He has no identifying tags or microchip.

Abandoning an animal is against the law. If anyone has any information about the owner of this dog, please call the Humane Law Enforcement Division at 732.440.1539. Informants can remain anonymous.

This adorable pooch should not have any trouble finding someone to adopt him and love him, but at this time, he is part of an animal cruelty investigation and is not available for adoption.

Please check back if interested in adopting.
