Meet “ferocious” Newt, a four-pound Chihuahua, who bit the right index finger (puncture wound) of a person breaking up a dog scuffle between this four-pound pooch and another dog in the home. Newt was found roaming the neighborhood and brought back to the victim’s house.

Because Newt has now been designated as a danger to society, a rescue group will be required to sign an indemnity waiver before he can be released. No rescue group has yet to step forward to help. Tragically, Newt is scheduled to be euthanized on Monday because of his “incident.”

Check out Newt’s brief video:

During his assessment at the center, Newt allowed the handler to pick him up and place him on the bench. He showed no concerning behavior.

  1. We love this breed and he is welcome to join our pack of rescues. How do we get him to Tacoma. Washington state?

  2. OMD Seriously! A danger to society? ROFLMAO! Eww he bit a finger LOL. I have 2 male chihuahuas that hate each other and they get into scuffles all the time and a fly swatter separates them very quickly and I have never been bit. I’ve had Chihuahua’s for over 40 years and their all danger to society! LMAO! No rescue is going to allow him to be euthanized.

    • Most likely he was in fear of getting grab by a stranger and maybe acted that way but he was never violent
