Shelter pup is ‘kennel stressed’ after 3 weeks and scheduled to die

At the Riverside County Shelter in California, a young German shepherd is barely a year old, but is scheduled to be humanely euthanized at anytime. His crime?  Nicholas is “kennel stressed” after having spent three weeks in a shelter cage with no real stimulation.

Check out his video:

“He barked at the volunteer as she approached his kennel, but then turned into this (above video). Just happy for a little attention. What Nicholas would do for some time spent running free, with some blades of grass to tickle his puppy nose.

He exhibits severe kennel stress to people passing by his kennel, however it only took him 10 seconds to realize I wasn’t there to hurt him when I visited,” a volunteer wrote on social media. “He sat eagerly wagging his tail quiet.

He needs a reputable rescue to help him as he can be euthanized without further notice.”

His status is “RED”
