We all know here at Pet Rescue Report that the bond between a pet and their human is truly special. But Pancakes, a goofy and lovable Golden Retriever, recently took that special bond to a whole new level!
Earlier this month a dog, named Pancakes attended his owners’ wedding in Liverpool, England. Not only did he attend, but he was the ringbearer. What a sight to watch Pancake running down the aisle after the priest officiating at the ceremony at the top of the steps, asked who had the rings?
And there came Pancakes; dressed in a black doggy tuxedo running down the aisle, amid cheers and laugher and taking in those “good boys” he heard from what seemed like from everyone! He ran up the stairs and greeted the bride and groom at the altar.
The bride bent down and removed the rings from Pancake’s jacket, and there was one happy puppy glad to have accommodated his humans.

I wanted my chihuahua to be my bouquet (instead of flowers because of allergies). I felt that I owed this dog my husband because she had approved of my dating him (all my dates who she hated, I broke up with). I wasn’t allowed to have my chihuahua as part of our wedding but she was a huge part of our lives together for many years.
