On Memorial Day, a tiny forgotten dog lay in the dirt next to a school parking lot in the Texas heat. She was found underneath a sign; she was too tired to move and her abdomen was swollen with untreated mammary tumors. One of the masses had ruptured and had become infected. There was no doubt this defenseless little dog had been severely neglected. This had not happened overnight.

When a Good Samaritan approached, she looked up – with hope in her eyes. She already trusted, she hoped that someone would help her feel better?
She was rescued by Dallas Dog – Rescue.Rehab.Reform and currently is at the McAllen Animal Hospital; her name is Betsy Ross.

Stray black female wearing blue striped tee shirt suffering from heat stroke laying by tree. Anyone recognize as missing?
Betsy Ross continues to fight. The good news is that her blood work has returned to normal levels which is reported to have been a huge improvement from when she arrived. The biggest concern is her being able to consistently regulate her body temperature. Also, she is not eating well on her own yet.
The veterinary team is working hard to get her stable enough to safely undergo surgery. Betsy has a severe inguinal hernia involving her bladder, along with multiple other layers of medical neglect that her tiny body has been trying to survive through for far too long.
Please continue to donate as her medical costs continue to increase. Please continue donating, sharing, and cheering this little girl on. She has been through unimaginable suffering, but she is still here fighting.
