Krista and Caryn arrived at the Moreno Valley Animal Shelter as a pair and have remained together, showing no signs of aggression towards each other. Their bond is strong, and it’s clear they find comfort in each other’s presence. Sadly, both are now considered urgent due to the length of their stay. With the 4th of July just days away, shelters like this one are preparing for a wave of incoming animals. Overcrowding will force heartbreaking decisions, and long-term residents like Krista and Caryn are often the first to be at risk.

Krista #A542082 is a six-year-old spayed Siberian Husky mix who weighs 69 pounds and has been at the shelter since April 4, 2025. She’s a sweet and affectionate dog who clearly loves her sister. She walks well on a leash and enjoys interacting with staff.

Caryn #A542083 is a four-year-old spayed Shepherd/Husky mix weighing around 60 pounds. Like Krista, she’s been at the shelter since April 4. Caryn is deeply bonded to her sister and tends to rely on her for emotional support. She’s friendly and playful, and the staff adore her.
