At Fulton County Animal Services in Atlanta, Georgia, Curly has been watching the other dogs leave the shelter. The two-yar-old black Labrador retriever weighs 85 pounds, is beautiful and perfect. Somehow, Curly thinks there is no one out there for him; he has nowhere left to go.
His volunteers want him to find a home so badly; they want Curly to live happily ever after. And now we are calling on everyone to help:

We walked him out front, thinking that someone coming in the shelter doors might want to meet him.
We laughed, he played…
All this time went by and not one person even talked to him.
It’s like black dogs are invisible to most people. I don’t get it.
Curly is so fun
Curly feels the tacit rejection. He has lost weight and is trying to escape. He slams his body up against the kennel walls over and over. Where he should be running free in a huge backyard, playfully swiping at lawn sprinklers or swimming in the lake, he’s feeling the sadness of abandonment and loneliness in a tiny cell with little interaction. Curly is a social pup. He’s nearly perfect:

One of Curly’s favorite volunteer companions is Erica, and she fears this perfect pooch is at risk for euthanasia.
If I’m being honest, I don’t think I can watch this good guy slip away. Please come get this beautiful creature and give him the life he deserves.
