At Four Paws One Heart Rescue, whose diverse rescue efforts save dogs and cats from meat markets, dog fighters and abandoned dogs on the streets in the United Kingdom and Egypt, their jobs are never done nor are there any days off from the work they have pledged to do – saving the pets who have no voices to call out for help on their own.
This golden retriever was thrown away as if she was an old couch. It is not known if she was abandoned before or after she had her babies. Unfortunately, pets are abandoned, left outdoors and allowed to run around unsupervised and without ever having been spayed or neutered. And so the cycle continues; dogs and cats mate with other street dogs, and another generation of street animals increase the already overburdened population.

And this is the outcome.

Here she is; a very sweet and young golden retriever carrying five newborn puppies and giving birth to them in a field which offered no protection from the cold, the wet and the predators always searching for prey.

Just in the nick of time she was found and rescued. Her puppies were severely infested with ticks and fleas. Their bellies were full of worms. The mother dog was malnourished; she tried so hard to care for her puppies. She was also infested with ticks. When her rescuer arrived, she seemed totally exhausted.
