Volunteers are asking the community not to blame the San Antonio Animal Care Services; instead the onus of this terrible tragedy falls upon irresponsible pet owners, breeders and lawmakers who do little to help these innocent pets.

Tragically, 29 puppies and dogs lost their lives today on June 29, 2023. There now have been 76 dogs and puppies euthanized just this week, and there could be more tomorrow. It is suspected, but hoped not to be, that 100 dogs and puppies could die this week.

So as their lives will not have been in vain, we want to name them, and may they all rest in peace. Until we all meet again, we will miss you Primrose, Jade, Baby, Stella, Marie, Matty Ice, Larry, Charlie, Toffee, Java, Beans, Latte, Biscuit, Honey, Moose, Toast, Rye, Heath, Roxy, Rudy, Riley, Rebecca, Ronald, Reece, Rover, River, Raven, Rosa and Ryan.

So what can we do. Unfortunately the above named angels can no longer be helped, but how about these? Please help share the dogs on the San Antonio Urgents & Adoptables Facebook page run by local volunteers.

Here are just a few of the many wonderful lives that can be saved:
