Theodore is a big boy who was surrendered to the New York City Animal Care Center in Manhattan because his owners decided “they didn’t have the time to properly care for a dog of his size.”

And now that brings us all to question whether the family who no longer want Theodore knew the puppy would grow up? Up until a few days ago, the puppy lived in a house full of adults, children, other dogs and cats. He was described as being initially wary with strangers, but tolerant of children of any age, loved the cat and at times interacted with other dogs.

He will need some guidance to learn what is expected of him, as any puppy does. A life of promise and possibilities is about to be tragically forever loss, unless one person cares. NOT RESERVED THEODORE #152220 WILL BE KILLED SHORTLY AT NYCACC IN MANHATTAN NY.

Notes:

Theodore is an affectionate, playful, excitable and sometimes shy dog. He is very smart and knows sit, come, stay and paw on command. He loves going on walks and tends to pull. His favorite toys are squeaky toys, stuffed toys and chew bones. He is well behaved when left home alone.

Theo is rescue only. When the owner’s nephew was walking Theodore, the dog picked up an old chicken bone. The nephew went to remove it from his mouth and Theodore bit him on the hand, resulting in one puncture wound.
