Someone likely poisoned this dog stuck in fence screaming for help

In Starr County, Texas, another dog is suffering in pain and fear because of an irresponsible owner who no longer cared about the pup’s life. Tragically, the abandonment and the cruelty towards dogs is an all too common occurrence in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas.

Rescue Dogs Rock NYC reached out on Monday morning to help the dog suspected of having been poisoned. In an area where dogs are poisoned, shot and kicked continues; the authorities seem to overlook the seriousness of the problem.

“We are going to do everything possible to save this dogs life !!,” Stacey Silverstein, co-founder of the non-profit animal rescue organization posted on Facebook.
“Stuck in this fence, nobody helps as he screams in pain, suspect he has been poisoned … This is a common occurrence in the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas , where there are hundreds upon hundreds of dogs in this very same condition and nobody helps them …
They die alone on the street with no help or compassion …

We try so hard to help in this area of Texas where it’s so so difficult for our companion animals to live a decent life when they are considered to be property and not someone’s loving pet ..

It’s a constant uphill battle that we are mostly losing. But we won’t give up !”

This pup has been rushed to the emergency veterinarian hospital, and tragically this is the fifth emergency for Rescue Dogs Rock NYC over the weekend. At this time, it is not known if this poor dog will even survive, but the rescue could certainly use the help with donations.
