Inexcusable: Poor Maltese senior left matted and miserable at shelter

Talullah was impounded at the SEACCA (Southeast Area Animal Control Authority on May 20, 2020 from the City of Downey. She has been described as an aged female Maltese mix weighing only 13 pounds.

A shelter volunteer noted the following:

‘This poor girly Maltese mix Talullah 20-18695 is in the most DEPLORABLE condition! She is only 13 lbs and I am surprised they were even able to determine gender with all the mats.

We waited 24 hours for SEACCA to put up a photo so we wouldn’t have to use a cartoon photo. And yet THIS is the photo they give. They did NOT groom or give this poor dog any relief and they have designated RESCUE ONLY.

Talullah must be so scared and lonely and she has nothing in the world except for us.”

Per SEAACA, Talullah was skittish upon impound and photo could not be taken. Her photo was posted on 5/21/20, one day after impound.
