Something awful was tied around Teddy’s muzzle for a long time

Something awful had been tied around Teddy’s muzzle for an extended period of time. The deep, sharp wounds cut clear down to his bones; the infection was deep and the young dog’s pain had to have been intolerable.

On Monday, the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (PSPCA) introduced Teddy Jr. to their followers on social media. In mid-August, the dog had been found as a stray with a serious injury to his muzzle. Teddy Jr. had been taken to a nearby county shelter. When notified, officers from the PSPCA picked him up and immediately transported him to the shelter’s hospital for emergency treatment and assessment.

“When he arrived, we were all shocked by what we saw – Teddy Jr. had a wound all the way around his muzzle with bone exposure. We knew he was in pain, and that time was of the essence, so our surgeon cleaned the deeply infected wound and closed it, and thus began a waiting game to see how Teddy would recover,” the organization posted on their Facebook page.

In just two weeks, Teddy Jr. has made an amazing recovery. He loves his surgeon, Dr. Nau and everyone he is introduced to – as long as it is slow. Who can blame him? Because of his terrible experience, Teddy Jr. can be fearful of people at first, but “when he loves you, he LOVES you.”

Teddy Jr. is a story of hope and healing.  If only all dogs involved in cruelty situations could have equally happy endings. We must not give up – there are angels out there helping all the time.

Teddy did have a microchip and charges are pending further investigation.

The Very FACT your Pennsylvania PSPCA took a little dog that was So Very Ill and in Pain and Assisted him to have a good family and life REALLY made a Big Difference to Me Personally about my negative feelings for Your State… I have read so much about the total lack of compassion there, the Religious Sects that appear to run your state that I really felt negative at just even the Name of your state.. This opened my eyes to the fact there are also very caring souls out there… Thanks… for intervention in this little man

Pray that Teddy Jr. can put all this behind him and soak in the care he is being given by the staff and doctors. He came in in horrible condition but looks and I hope feels much better. He deserves a loving family who will cherish him forever. I hope the police can find out who did this to this precious pup. Offer a reward and maybe so called friends will come out of the wood work and rat on their friend.

Catch and put to death the psychyopathic depraved animal torturing lowlife monster/s who committed such unimaginable torture and suffering against a defenceless and innocent dog named Teddy Jr. What did this innocent little fella do to be tortured so heinosuly by these psycho monster/s? These lowlife animal torturing monster/s must be eradicated from our planet earth before they deliberately torture another innocent and helpless sentient being. How many innocent and trusting sentient beings have these monster/s tortured probably to death? They are definitely psychopathic depraved animal torturing monster/s who get a thrill out of torturing an innocent and helpless sentient being.
Catch these monster/s before they turn out to be the next Serial Killers. Which they probably are now. Kill the lowlife sicko psycho monster/s.
Hang in there precious Teddy Jr. And live out you precious life with a loving family who will show you what compassion and love is all about. Bless you Teddy Jr.

Barbaric this is. Looks like Teddy Jr’s nose was tied with barbed wire. His owners did this? Well whoever, if not them, deserve every penalty the justice system can think of to charge them with – jwiltime + hefty fines + reimburse every cent of Teddy Jr’s medical expenses and ongoing care until he finds his furever home. They should also never be allowed within twenty yards of any animal for the rest of their lives.
