Sweetest senior shelter dog paid price to live after being hit by car and cried when returned to kennel cage

At the Carson Animal Shelter, a sweet 10-year-old senior named Honey has fought battles no dog should ever have to face. She survived having been hit by a car while crossing a busy street. She spent days at the shelter’s partner veterinarian clinic where surgery was deemed necessary to save her life.

She survived surgery when veterinarians amputated her seriously injured leg. She has held on through the pain, the fear and the recovery time back at the shelter.

No doubt Honey hoped life would soon improve. Unfortunately, the shelter has posted Honey is running out of time.

Honey deserves to be cuddled up in a warm, cozy bed – safe from anymore sadness and hazards; not to be forgotten.

At around 10 years old, this gentle girl should be resting somewhere warm and safe — not wondering if she survived everything just to be forgotten.
