Nearly 50 tiny dogs and puppies were rescued on Tuesday, May 12 by the Brandywine Valley SPCA and the Marple Township Police Department located in Broomall, Pennsylvania. The heartbreaking scene found the dogs frightened, neglected, matted and suffering from untreated medical issues.

As officers and rescuers entered the home, there were no lights. The floors were soiled, and nearly all of the 50 dogs living in the disturbing conditions had to be carried to safety with the assistance of the Marple Township Police and fire departments.

The team at Brandywine Valley SPCA has been providing emergency medical treatment, grooming, medications, vaccines, behavioral support and compassionate care for every survivor. Caring for this number of dogs, however is an enormous undertaking factoring in both care and financial expenses.

The community support is needed from both near afar.

Please consider making a donation to help provide the lifesaving care these little survivors need to heal, recover and find the loving homes they’ve always deserved.

This investigation remains ongoing. In the meantime, every dog is receiving the care and love they deserve.
