In York, Pennsylvania, the story of Goldie, a Great Pyrenees mix, thrown out of a moving truck in Dover, has captured the attention and the hearts of people reading her heartbreaking story.

According to the Northern York County Regional Police Department, it had been on April 26, when an eyewitness told police she had seen a man throw the dog out of a black pickup truck. The dog was wearing a collar but had no identification tags or a microchip.
The beautiful golden dog was brought to the York County SPCA for immediate help. It was natural that rescuers named her Goldie.

When she arrived, she was underweight and had a prolapsed uterus.
Steven Martinez, the executive director of the SPCA, said when Goldie arrived at the shelter, she was very shy and afraid to look ahead. Now, as Goldie receives the treatment she needs and everyone is so kind and attentive to her, she is regaining her confidence. She is described as very sweet and affectionate.

Anyone who can identify the black Chevrolet pickup or has information about the case is asked to contact Northern York County Regional Police at 717-467-8355 or [email protected].
