In Prescott, Arizona, a woman and her six-year-old German shepherd, Moses, had been on their walk in the neighborhood last Monday when a bobcat attacked both of them.
The cat jumped up at the woman, and at first she thought it had been a coyote since she had not been aware of reports of any bobcats in the area. She instantly pushed the cat away, but it jumped right back at her and knocked her to the ground. And then the cat went after Moses.

Moses immediately responded and attacked the bobcat. He broke the cat’s neck in the fight.
After the incident, a necropsy was performed on the bobcat, and according to the Arizona Game and Fish Department, the animal tested positive for rabies.
A spokesperson for the department, Michael Colaianni stated:
Bobcats are cats. They have cat in their name. They’re pretty skittish. They don’t like people. They want to stay as far away from people as possible.
Thankfully, Moses is current on his rabies vaccine, but he will be required to quarantine at home for the next 45 days. His owner is being treated and expected to make a full recovery.

What a hero Moses is …. we are so fortunate to have dogs.
