In Bronx, New York, a Good Samaritan had been walking along the sidewalk near where he lived and spotted a pet carrier. He was shocked and heartbroken to find three terrified dogs stuffed into the carrier; their fur was so matted it was even difficult to determine if they were dogs.

All three had been cover in urine, feces and blood. One of the puppies had been bleeding from his hind end.

New York City Second Chance Rescue was notified and immediately stepped up to help. The dogs were rushed to the emergency animal hospital, but the one pup that had been bleeding passed away enroute.
The other two dogs have been diagnosed with Parvovirus and continue to fight for their lives.

The dogs are not all the same breed, and it is very possible the dogs had been from a backyard breeder who abandoned them at the first sign of the serious infection.

Veterinarians are now doing everything possible to save their lives.

No living being deserves this. Not ever.
We are doing everything we can right now to save the survivors and give them the care they desperately need. Please, if you can, help us fight for them.
