At BARCS located in Baltimore, Maryland, six-month-old Togo is ready to go home. The young, handsome German shepherd was a recent owner surrender after his family moved out of state.
Togo is still very much a puppy, and in proper and healthy puppy form, he is full of energy, personality and possesses the classic shepherd’s high intelligence.

His previous owners stated he is friendly, playful and loves the water. He enjoys swimming, walking and spending time with people. He even loves cats. In his previous home, there were cats, and everyone played together.
Togo has been around older children, ages 8 to 14, and does well with them, except his puppyhood energy still drives him to jump and be a bit mouthy at times.
At the shelter, Togo has been nervous but tolerant during handling. He presents as a typical high-arousal adolescent dog; smart, social, and in need of structure, outlets, and training. His previous owner described him as protective but not aggressive, and noted that while he may bark at strangers, he warms up quickly and wants to engage.

Shelter information:
Age: 6 months
Weight: 59 Pounds
Neutered
Healthy
Up-to-date on vaccines

Togo would thrive with a someone who can help channel his energy into positive outlets and continue his training and socialization.
