Heartbreaking: Shelter pup all packed up ready to go to new home when adopter backed out

At Fairhaven Animal Control and Shelter in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, the staff’s hearts are broken for Karma. She has been at the shelter since March and had an approved adopter set up for Saturday afternoon. Karma’s bags were packed, and she knew she was leaving. Oh boy! Karma was so excited; she was about to begin her new life with lots of adventures and love.

Unfortunately, the landlord of the family who had been scheduled to adopt four-year-old Karma, changed his mind about allowing them to adopt her. And there she was, later in the day; Karma watching the staff unpack her bowls, her soft blanket and all the treats ready to follow her to her new home.

Karma is feeling defeated and slowly losing hope that shelter life will never end.

So … let’s help Karma find her PERSON by sharing her story. To begin, here’s what the staff says about her:

Karma is very loving and a big goofball. She’s very loyal, loves going for walks, and loves to trot around the play yard like a reindeer, it’s adorable.

Karma is spayed. microchipped and up-to-date on all of her vaccinations. She needs to be the only dog in the home. She has never been around cats, but has the drive to chase, so it is advised she not be around our feline friends. Older children (at least 10-years-old) are ideal for her, but she does need reinforcement to curb her enthusiasm for being rambunctious and excited about life.

Karma’s family should own their own home and have a fenced in yard. This time, when she finally gets to pack up again, we can be quite sure she’s really going home.

All there is left to do now is unite Karma with the perfect family. Does she sound like a super pup you want to meet? If you love the outdoors, love to hike and lead an active life (which will help you to live longer too), Karma is your girl.

Please share this girl’s plight with friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives.
