At Columbia Animal Services in Columbia, South Carolina, seven-year-old Zero arrived at the shelter as a depressed and emaciated survivor from the streets.

In her kennel, Zero is shut down and scared; she was too nervous to even step forward. She has to be gently carried out. But once she’s outside and given a moment to breathe, she starts to blossom. She is affectionate, polite and overflowing with gratitude for every bit of kindness. To her caretakers at the shelter, she’s perfect.
Zero knows sit and shake, takes treats softly and is the kind of dog who just wants to be close. She’s underweight and could use a little TLC, but her heart is solid gold.
She doesn’t ask for much — just love, patience, and a quiet place to rest her head. Check out her video by clicking here.
This senior lady was found as a stray. Sadly, senior dogs like Zero often face the toughest odds — overlooked in favor of younger pups, even though they have just as much love to give (and often, far better manners). Help her beat the odds.
Please share Zero’s plight with friends, family and social media contacts. Just one person, one family and a soft heart can mean the difference for Zero and give her the future she so deserves.
