Jill should not be locked up behind bars at the San Bernardino City Shelter. Instead, the one-year-old white, friendly husky/shepherd mix should be outdoors playing with children at the park or in her own backyard. Yet, here she waits, and it has been since July that Jill has waited for someone to come meet her, fall in love and take her home to become part of the family.

Jill’s Adoption Listing:

JILL – ID#A557759

My name is Jill and I am a spayed female, white Siberian Husky. Shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 4 months old. I have been at the shelter since Jul 26, 2023.

For more information about this animal, call the shelter at (909) 384-1304.
Ask for information about animal ID number A557759.

Jill arrived at the shelter barely pregnant on 7/26/23 and has been spayed. She’s only about a year old; when she was described as being “very sweet.” Sadly, shelter life may be taking a toll on Jill, and it is very important she be rescued. Behavioral notes from the shelter are as follows:

August 29, 2023 – Jill was reported to be growling and barking at Otto, A557392, who had been introduced into the kennel. Otto had a puncture wound on his right ear and was shaking his head. Jill would not let him move from the far side of the kennel and would growl and bark whenever he took a step. Kennel staff was notified Otto would need to be examined and moved.

October 19, 2023

Behavior observed normal, recommend play group. Needs rescue intervention to exit shelter.

October 26, 2023

Behavior observed in kennel very high energy. Concerned for possible behavior decline due to length of stay in kennel.
