Update 6/25/2022: Heartbreaking update – Chente is gone. Rest in peace, we are devastated that you were let down and paid with your life.

An unclaimed stray dog, who has been waiting for someone to choose him, has been put on 72-hour euthanasia notice because the facility he is being held at is packed. Within the past hour, an advocate wrote:

Shelter has been flooded with dogs and they been doing all they can to give them a chance

Please Chente must exit today

Adding notes about the dog:

Adoptable to a home with children age middle school and older recommended.

Chente was amicable and gently with staff.

Chente had a gentle/dainty playstyle and is social with the other dogs.

Calm dogs recommended.

Chente has done nothing to deserve his fate. He was picked up as a stray and he has been sitting un a kennel run for months. Now, he has to leave or he will be put down. Time is of the essence, please share his adoption information.
