Maggie shakes in terror after owner surrendered her to busy shelter

A young dog named Maggie is shaking in terror in her kennel run at the Harris County Pets facility in Houston, Texas. Maggie’s owner surrendered her to the shelter in early April, telling staff that they had too many dogs at home.

On April 20, the Houston, Save Lives is our Mission Facebook page wrote:

This dog came on April 4,2022 as owner surrender, saying HAS TOO MANY!…well SPAY-NEUTER, SPAY-NEUTER!!! stop discarding your pets!! Her intake photo is soooo sad! she is terrified, all in the floor not even want to pose for the photo 😔. SHE IS PRECIOUS BRINDLE DOG, dog & people friendly! let’s help Maggie to make it alive and safe!

  2. Poor precious treasure!!! I hope someone local can open their heart and home for this precious treasure. Once she calms down, she will be a very loving companion!!!

    She reminds me of our precious little treasure Hazel who was terrified of everything, including us. It took ~1 year of intensive TLC, but she calmed down and was a fantastic companion.

    I miss her terribly: she passed away a few years ago from illness that we couldn’t treat more than our team of veterinary experts had means. If we could have saved her, I would have given up everything)……
