Molly Birch had been left “heartbroken” after someone stole her seven-year-old cocker spaniel during a break-in at her home in Leyburn, North Yorkshire last week. The 14-year-old girl afflicted with cerebral palsy, had grown up with the dog named Archie and appealed to social media to help her find her dog.

Over the weekend, the family reported Archie had been returned.

We have the most amazing news this Easter weekend. We have Archie

While Archie was missing, a report from the Richmond Shire Today, shared a video posted to Facebook. On it, Molly said her dog would be “very frightened” and she was “very frightened too,” pleading with anyone who had her dog or knew where he was to bring him home.

This is a heartbroken young girl at home waiting for his return. Archie is a great support to Molly, he helps her through her daily struggles due to her disabilities. Molly and Archie are inseparable and have a special, unbreakable bond.

The North Yorkshire Police said their investigation is ongoing and have not shared the details of the dog having been returned. Officers have thanked everyone involved in helping get Archie back to Molly including social media and everyone sharing the news.

What’s most important is Molly’s happiness and now grateful she is for everyone’s help.
