In a heartbreaking photo of a terribly neglected, starving dog found curled up on the side of the road near Robstown, Texas, the poor dog didn’t even have the strength to move when picked up by local animal control officers.
The volunteer group Nueces County, TX: Dogs in Need of Rescue are reaching out to the community for help.
Another disgusting example – emaciated – to be destroyed. Heads up – people; it’s not ‘ok’ to starve, dump, neglect your animals!! It’s cruel and inhumane!!

And again in South Texas where rules are few and defenseless dogs don’t even get a chance. This poor guy is eating now, but he needs medical attention and is listed as “rescue only.” How is it fair this poor dog gets no love, no family or even a chance to see tomorrow?
Please share this poor dog’s story. Sadly, the shelters are full and the first ones to die are the dogs who require medical care.

Glad you are writing about this shelter’s animals. They are a very small, over full shelter…… it’s absolutely heartbreaking for the animals who get very little time to find a furever family or get tagged for rescue…..
