At the Palm Valley Animal Society in Edinburg, Texas, a dog previously used and overbred waits to be euthanized. Tragically, the seven-year-old female Staffordshire terrier had been no more than a profit machine; her puppies were all that counted, and they came with a price.

And now, not too many years later, her life has no value. Who in the world could have guessed after her breeder had named her Fortune Cookie? It was her heartless breeder who obviously made a fortune, because here she is without anyone wanting to adopt her amid an entire overcrowded shelter of dogs who all deserve so much better.

Fortune Cookie is urgently in need of a rescue and/or foster home. She has had no interest.
