In the desert area of Terra Lago, an abandoned dog was spotted floating and struggling in a lake trying desperately to stay afloat and get to the shore. A Good Samaritan spotted him and called for help. When the fire department arrived, they were able to save the tiny dog in the nick of time. The good news – the dog was chipped; the bad news – his owner didn’t want him back.
The kind-hearted person who found the dog rushed him to a veterinarian where it was determined the dog suffered from multiple bite wounds and was in poor health. The woman has been caring for the dog, but posted on social media, she was not able to afford the medical help this dog needs and asked for help.
Leave No Paws Behind stepped up.
“I came across the post and Leave No Paws Behind, Inc. stepped up and offered to help. Winston will be coming in to the Leave No Paws Behind Veterinary Clinic tomorrow for a check up and medical care as needed. He needs help and when I saw his story I just could not look away. We will update as soon as we know more, for now he is safe and I am sure he knows he is loved and that his life matters. Just one more wake up little fella, help is on the way,” President and founder of the rescue organization, Toby Wisneski posted on Facebook.
Help is on the way Winston. Hang in there little one.
