In Bainbridge, Georgia, someone illegally dumped seven innocent puppies in the parking lot of the Bainbridge Humane Society. Four tiny pups were discovered in a kennel, and three others were found wandering around the lot.

Surveillance video clocked the horrible situation at 7:30 Tuesday evening. A four-door truck pulled into the parking lot, and a passenger stepped out of the vehicle and placed the box on the driveway. The license plate was not visible.

The description of one malnourished and dehydrated puppy caught everyone’s attention.

“I walked in and immediately thought this pup was dead and stood still and watched. I saw its little neglected and malnourished body finally move with breath as though it was the biggest labor to even do so. I’m sure it was a feat to even keep breathing. I then had a phone call with a dear friend in Rescue about something completely unrelated to this incident and soon told her about how my morning was going and ended up sharing the story of the pups and the pics of them, especially the one shown alone in the kennel that was the worst off,” wrote Ashley White of the Bainbridge Humane Society on the organization’s Facebook page.

The puppy has since been named Jiminy Cricket and was transferred to the Leon County Humane Society where there are more resources able to treat the ailing little one. Some litter mates remain at Bainbridge; others are being fostered by a local rescue organization.

Jiminy Cricket remains in critical condition however he seems to be a tiny fighter.

“He was very grumpy that I woke him up from his full belly, warm and cozy nap. Vets say he is eating on his own and doing well! More good news – while we planned to rescue his siblings that were in better shape, another rescue has stepped up to take them.
