The Guardians of Rescue, a non profit animal welfare organization based in Hauppauge, New York is currently at an eastern Kentucky property rescuing dogs left behind in horrible conditions – unfit for both humans and animals.
The large scale rescue situation is one where the dogs on the property have been abandoned in an unfit and egregious situation no living being should ever have to endure.
Photos are telling the story, and today the dogs are being moved away from the property as rescuers and medical aides are helping to assess their condition. The task is too much for one agency, and help is desperately needed.
Right now, our team is working to get eyes on every animal. assess their condition, and begin the process of getting them to safety, But we cannot do this alone.
Rescue partners are urgently needed. The dogs will need immediate placement, and if any registered rescue can help, please reach out now to the organization.
Dogs were abandoned without basic care in heartbreaking conditions. The rescue has stated they are “choosing” these animals and refuse to walk away from the property until every dog is safe.
The cost for the rescue operation is overwhelming. The dogs will require medical care, transport, food and quarantine. If you can help fostering one of the dogs, donating or sharing their story, now is the time.
