In Blue Springs, Missouri, an eight-year-old pup named Mr. Worldwide was recently brought to a veterinarian’s office to be put to sleep after his owner had been sentenced to prison. How is it fair an innocent dog should have to pay the ultimate price of his life because his human was found guilty of committing a crime?
The veterinarian didn’t agree.

Pawportunities, a local nonprofit animal rescue is asking for the public’s help finding a loving home for this gentle and very likeable pooch.
Here he is:
After Mr. Worldwide arrived at the veterinarian’s office to be euthanized, the office reached out and explained the person sentenced to prison had left six pitbull dogs behind. Fortunately, the family was able to keep five of the dogs, but not Mr. Wonderful, who had been the oldest of the half-dozen dogs.

The rescue organization was relieved to know the family was able to keep the other dogs. The veterinarian really liked Mr. Wonderful and wanted to give him an opportunity to find a home. He had one week to either find a foster or be adopted.

Mr. Wonderful has since been placed in a short term foster home, but he needs a real home where he will become a well-loved family member.
This happy boy is estimated to be about eight years of age, and is showing the beginning of muscle wasting on his head. No matter though – he has lots of life left according to the veterinarian.

Lots of body wiggles, tail wags, and endless kisses to give. He doesn’t like cats, but has obviously lived with 5 other dogs…
Mr. Wonderful has ear infections that need to be treated. He is sweet, loving, solicits attention and thinks he’s a big lap dog.
Please share his story and help Mr. Wonderful find a furever home. Please reach out here for more information.
