In Dorchester, Massachusetts, a man has been arrested after allegedly admitting he kicked a woman’s 11-pound dog into the street while they had been on a walk last Wednesday afternoon. Naomi Nunez had been on Dudley Street with her dog Biscuit, when a man she did not know approached her and kicked her dog out into the street; literally sending the tiny dog flying into traffic.

When asked what had happened, Naomi described the heartless act:

He kicked him like he was a football, honestly. And mind you, Biscuit is 11 pounds. He went up into the air, fell on the side street, and squealed even harder, and then started running into ongoing traffic.

Nunez immediately ran after Biscuit, but the frightened dog had quickly disappeared. Residents in the area searched the streets and backyards looking for the tiny Yorkshire terrier and Havanese blend, who seemingly vanished. She called 911, and the Boston Police Department officers responded.

Officers said they found the man who kicked Biscuit, and he admitted to the action. The man told officers he had been attacked by five unknown men after kicking the dog. He described the group as men in their 20s, and said they were unarmed and fled the scene.

The suspect has been charged with animal cruelty. His name has not been released.

UPDATE 3/22/26: Biscuit from Dorchester is safe at home and resting. A Good Samaritan found him on her porch and saw the owner’s post. He will be seeing a vet soon.

Welcome home Biscuit.
