Aero is scheduled to be humanely euthanized at anytime now since having been returned to the City of San Bernardino Animal Services by a person in a wheelchair for being too active.

The shelter manager has reached out for the public’s help to find help for this four-year-old mixed breed dog who is friendly, loves other dogs and delights in playing with toys. Aero originally entered the shelter in October 2023 and was adopted by a man in a wheelchair, but the person found out he needed a small dog that didn’t require much exercise. Poor Aero was flustered and confused when he was locked up again in a shelter cage. Who can blame him?

Adoption listing:

AERO – ID#A559805

My name is Aero and I am a neutered male, tan Pit Bull Terrier mix. Shelter staff think I am about 4 years old. I have been at the shelter since Oct 28, 2023. For more information about this animal, call San Bernardino City Animal Control at (909) 384-1304. Ask for information about animal ID number A559805.

The following are notes about Aero offered by staff and volunteers:

Neutered and has had rabies vaccinations

Has been kenneled with other dogs and there have been no incidents

Friendly and relaxed in his kennel

Has been taken to adoption events by staff

High energy

Loves his toys and playtime

Weighs 55 pounds (weighed 65 pounds when he entered shelter in Oct)

Previously adopted by someone in a wheelchair who realized AFTER that he should have adopted a small dog who didn’t require exercise, but he did say “Aero was nice in his care but not housebroken.”

To adopt please contact 909.384.1304 or 909.384.7272 to make an appointment to meet Aero. Fostering opportunities are also available. Please share Aero’s plight and help save a life.
