At the Stanislaus Animal Shelter in the Modesto, California metropolitan area, a beautiful shy puppy wants to celebrate our country’s freedom today by smiling for the camera, dressing up in her favorite color headband and hoping to find a new friend who will give her the “furever” home she so deserves.
Meet Paige – she is a seven-month-old Cane Corse and Labrador retriever mix. Is she not too adorable for words? She entered the shelter with her littermates, and they have all been adopted or rescued. Paige happens to be the last one left, and she has not been adopted because she is so very shy.

Shelter volunteers assure us Paige is as sweet as can be and very calm. She just needs a patient human to love her and help her gain the self-confidence to become the best dog in the whole world!
Paige weighs 28 pounds, has been spayed and is anxiously waiting for someone to visit in PP303. Please inquire about Paige #A585824.
Here’s a photo of one of Paige’s brothers who has recently been adopted. His name is Buckley, and his new mom certainly sings his praises.

“This is Paige’s brother Buckley. And he is so calm and gentle. Gentle giants he’s a really playful and loveable puppy and with her being his sister I know she’s probably just as calm and loving like him. I hope someone adopts her.”
Please share Paige’s story with friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives.
