First responders in New Richmond, Ohio stepped in on Tuesday, June 2, to rescue a tiny fawn stuck in a storm drain. A Good Samaritan reported hearing desperate cries coming from the drain and requested the help of police and fire officials.

When crews arrived from New Richmond Fire & EMS, crews were able to climb in, and with their help and expertise, were able to reach in and safely pull the animal out.

The fawn was checked for injuries and carried to the edge of the wooded area nearby and released.

The last report include spotting sightings of the doe and her baby playfully chasing each other.
