A sweet gentle dog named Khaleesi continues to put her best paw forward with the hopes of finding someone to adopt her and give her the loving and fun life she deserves. Khaleesi is the longest resident at the Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter; having spent more than 175 days at the shelter and nary a day goes by she doesn’t look out the window waiting for that special someone.

The shelter staff refer to Khaleesi as “resilient.” The two-year-old gray Labrador retriever blend arrived at the shelter “very pregnant” back in August. She gave birth to a litter of adorable puppies, and when they were old enough to leave the protection and care of their mother, the puppies were quickly adopted. So sorry to say that Khaleesi was left behind.

She is one of the ultimate staff favorites who greets you every time you walk by her kennel. She is just an absolute doll!

Khaleesi gets along well with staff members who are all hoping she gets a “freedom ride out of here” by this Valentine’s Day. Won’t you make this sweet girl your Valentine? No chocolates or even jewelry needed to win her love and loyalty – only love, care and fun required.

Adoption Fee: $100.00

Animal ID: 74838835
