At the City of San Bernardino Animal Services, a homeless one-year-old, frightened shepherd searches through her prison bars for the human who probably will never come to rescue her. Every day, the chances of someone adopting Kelly become less and less. Animal shelters are overwhelmed and overcrowded; and this young dog’s chances of exiting through the front door eagerly awaiting to begin her new life diminishes each passing day.

At this time, Kelly’s rescue is past due; she faces euthanasia at anytime.

Kelly’s PetHarbor adoption listing:

KELLY – ID#A561577

My name is Kelly and I am an unaltered female, brown brindle German shepherd dog mix. Shelter staff think I am about 1 year and 1 month old. I have been at the shelter since Dec 19, 2023. For more information about this animal, call San Bernardino City Animal Control at (909) 384-1304.
Ask for information about animal ID number A561577.

There hasn’t been much information made available about Kelly, but in one photo she can be seen with another dog. Rescuers are asking for pledges, which will only be paid to an approved rescue organization after Kelly is safely out of the shelter.

Please share Kelly’s plight and share her story. Sharing saves lives. Follow on Facebook here. There are currently 52 German shepherds at the shelter needing homes. Reach out, volunteer, foster and adopt; one life at a time saved.
