Courageous mother dog rescued from overcrowded Texas shelter trying to give birth to puppies

Meet Lily – the courageous young mother dog who has just been rescued from an overcrowded Texas shelter on Wednesday by Dallas Dog -Rescue.Rehab.Reform while giving birth to a litter of puppies. Despite the challenging situation, Lily gave birth to her beautiful puppies in the shelter, but the new family has since been transferred to a safe and loving foster home.

In animal rescue the phrase “it takes a village” surely meant the world to Lily. It had been a volunteer in South Texas who made sure Lily and her puppies were released from the shelter as soon as possible, thus making the family’s chances for health and survival a lot better.
