Just when you thought you had seen it all, another heartbreaking case comes across your screen asking for help finding a home or qualified rescue able to help. Meet Pixie, (A0056846983) who was just rescued by an amazing animal control officer from Fort Worth Animal Care and Control.

Pixie had been abandoned and left tied to a pole. There was no food or water anywhere within her reach. And to the credit of the animal control officer, sweet Pixie was rescued just in time, or she would not have lasted much longer.
Pixie is currently being cared for in the outbound office of the Silcox campus. The compassionate staff is reminding her just how safe and sweet humans can be until her forever rescue steps up.

This baby is going to have a great future, we just know it. She will need to be placed on a veterinary advised refeeding plan and will need to be examined and treated.
Please share Pixie’s story and help her find an approved rescue organization or experienced rescuer. Please do not call the shelter. Rescue tags must be emailed:
She is located at the Silcox Campus located at 4900 Martin Street in Fort Worth 76119.
