After ten years together, Tessa’s owner had been moved to an assisted living facility. Because no dogs were permitted, the tearful owner had to surrender her beloved pup to The City of Mobile Animal Services.

Tessa’s owner left broken-hearted and in tears, but the staff and volunteers at the shelter promised they would find her beloved dog a great home.

Her story was posted on social media, and so many rescuers, social media followers and volunteers shared Tessa’s story. And then it happened … an amazing family in northern Vermont arranged and paid for Tessa to be brought to her new home all the way from Mobile, Alabama.
Since then Tessa’s previous owner has been told of her dog’s good fortune and is truly relieved her precious pup will be loved and adored.
