At the Ukiah Animal Shelter in Ukiah, California, another tragic story of a young dog’s life soon to end because he doesn’t have a foster home or adopter, brings us all to tears. Meet Jax (Max), a handsome two-year-old German shepherd, who found himself at the shelter when his owner passed away.

The shelter changed the dog’s name from Max to Jax because another dog at the shelter had already been named Max. And now Jax is in desperate need of finding a new home. He had previously been on the euthanasia list, however he was granted a reprieve until December 15, at which time he will be put to sleep if he is not placed. And the saddest part – this dog will soon lose his life through NO FAULT of his own.

The two-year-old does suffer from a genetic problem affecting his back legs and won’t be someone’s running partner, but he loves to walk and has been noted by the staff as an “easy guy to be around.” He walks well on the leash, and his biggest wish is to be home for Christmas.

Can you help? Please share Jax’s story.

Jax is located at the Ukiah Animal Shelter in Ukiah CA. Follow his story here. Please share this beautiful dog’s plight with approved rescue organizations, friends, family and social media contacts. Sharing saves lives.
