Who can forget the heartbreaking photos of a puppy brought to the DeKalb County Animal Services in Georgia less than one week ago? Rescue Dogs Rock NYC stepped up to help save his life.
The puppy, now named Patrick was rushed early the next morning to the rescue organization’s partner veterinarian hospital for life-saving treatment. The puppy is being treated for a severe skin condition, and every day, veterinarian technicians are slowly peeling away the puppy’s old skin and giving his tiny body a chance to heal.
HOW COULD ANYONE HAVE LET HIM GET THIS BAD? WE WILL NEVER UNDERSTAND HOW HUMANS CAN SEE AN ANIMAL SUFFER SO WITHOUT HELPING THEM?

As of Monday, Patrick remains at the Georgia veterinary hospital where he is being treated with daily medicated baths and antibiotics. And when Patrick was able to wag his tiny tail to show his appreciation for all the help he has been receiving, everyone at the hospital couldn’t help but smile.

The road to recovery will be a long one for this defenseless puppy, but his prognosis is improving, and we hope Patrick will soon be well enough to be transported north where he will be fostered and made ready to find his loving, forever home.
