It’s a scary time for all dogs in shelters across the United States. Everyday, more unwanted and strays enter the overcrowded shelters – don’t blame the shelter staff for the high number of pups losing their lives- sadly the blame goes to irresponsible owners.

MISSING YOUR GERMAN SHEPHERD? This sweet dog was picked up roaming loose on County Road 81 in Bishop, Texas.

Ryan patiently sits at end of cage waiting for his family to come for him. He has minor swelling on his front left paw and a small wound. He’s a bit of a whiner, like most German shepherds, for what he wants. This is a gentle boy, not excited, no jumping or quick movements.

Ryan waits at the Nueces County Animal Services. When observed in his shelter cage, he patiently waited his turn for a few treats. He didn’t bark and was very gentle as the volunteer approached.

He’ll be waiting at the end of his kennel when the next person comes; let that be someone to walk him to safety and not that ‘OTher’ room.
