Nearly one year ago, three pit bull puppies were found abandoned in a box in St. Louis; just as temperatures plummeted to near zero. Stray Rescue of St. Louis rushed to their plight, and the three precious puppies were saved just in time. When examined by veterinarians, all three of the puppies had been suffering with injuries and showed signs of neurological damage.

The puppies were soon moved to foster homes. They all suffer from cerebellar hypoplasia, where the cerebellum, which is the part of the brain that controls motor functions, especially walking and standing. Two of the puppies have since found homes.

Elizabeth:

My husband and I adopted his brother, who has the same disability. Please, someone, adopt this sweet boy. You might be hesitant to adopt him because of his disability, but if he is anything like his brother (which I think he is), he will love you madly and deeply.

Sanctuary has not found his forever home yet. To help him maneuver around better, Walkin’ Pets has designed a wheelchair to help this cute pup to become more independent and mobile. What a difference it has made in his life.

“Sanctuary is a very special little puppy seeking his forever family! His brothers have been adopted, and he is looking for someone who will love him the way he is, help him continue progressing, and give him the wonderful life he deserves! We ask you to PLEASE SHARE so more people see him; you never know…it could be you or someone you know!”

Sanctuary is friendly, loveable, well-behaved and just looking to be a “regular” dog (with some special needs but that’s okay) and best of all hoping to find a loving home for the rest of his adorable life. Please share his story with family, friends and social media contacts. What a wonderful day it would be for Sanctuary to find a home of his very own.
