A broken-hearted volunteer at the Devore Shelter in San Bernardino County, California, has been advocating for the rescue of a four-year-old shepherd named Padme for the last two months. Sadly, Padme has given up hope; and she is listless and shut down. Now her fate may soon be sealed.

they are going to kill her any day any time if no one saves her now. i’m sorry padme. I tried so hard. i’m rooting for you still darling. it’s not your fault; none of it is your fault. I won’t give up on you sweet girl.

Padme has been kept in a small kennel for the last two months. On April 6th, Padme arrived at the shelter, and shortly after she arrived, she was listed to be euthanized after she developed an upper respiratory infection. She earned a reprieve from her death sentence when her young body was able to fight off the kennel cough, however she is again reported experiencing loose stools.

But now kennel stress has taken its toll on this sweet dog. She can be seen in her video nervously pacing, but immediately calms down when someone pays attention to her – scratches and pats make her feel loved, even just for a few moments.

Padme has been suffering emotionally and demonstrating her stress with excessive licking, panting and now feeling physically ill. She needs a medical release to an experienced rescuer. Please help this sweet dog find herself again.

This poor baby’s cell is so tiny and she’s so starved for attention & affection it’s breaking my heart into pieces.
