In January, someone tied a beautiful German shepherd to a pole outside of the Carson Animal Services facility in California. The six-year-old dog, dubbed Martha, was left alone outside of the closed shelter facility until someone noticed her the next morning.

Now Martha is urgently in need of help. On Tuesday morning, the Saving Carson Shelter Dogs Facebook page said, “This gentle, sweet angel was left tied to a pole outside the shelter when it was closed. She is incredible and she needs help fast. Please SHARE, a FOSTER or Adopter would save her now.”

In late January, notes from a volunteer indicated that Martha was eager to leave her kennel run and get outside. “She whined, whimpered, she excitedly tapped her feet on the floor and she was eager to exit the kennel. She was easy to remove from the kennel and moderately pulled on leash.” While in the play area, Martha solicited affection from people and “corrected” an overly playful dog. However, her behavior towards the other dog escalated and she had to be removed from the area.

Will you please help save Martha’s life by sharing her adoption information? She deserves to be living with a family, in a home…not facing stress and potential death at the animal control facility.
