In the Rio Grande Valley of Texas, another emergency calls for rescuers to come together and help. A scruffy, homeless young dog has adopted five stray puppies in the area and has become their protector. The mother of the puppies is nowhere to be found, and sadly she is thought to have been killed by a predator or hit by a vehicle while trying to cross the road and find food for her puppies.
The five little ones roam the area as the self-appointed dad tries to corral them, but as they get older, they are wandering off farther and farther.
On Tuesday morning, three of the puppies were missing, and he went off looking for them, Fortunately, the puppies were found and ushered back to the temporary shelter they have been using. It is only a matter of time until the day comes when the puppies no longer return. This single dad and the puppies need a rescue and foster home.
Transportation is available on Tuesday afternoon in just a few hours. The entire family can be saved – we just need someone to care for them until a permanent rescue organization can be found.
