At the Harbor Shelter in San Pedro, California, Timmy is in need of rescue today. According to the shelter, he is on the “Orange Alert” which means he requires urgent and/or extreme extensive medical care beyond what the shelter can provide.

Timmy is eligible for the STAR Program! The LAAS STAR program allows New Hope Partner organizations to temporarily foster and care for LAAS-owned animals that have suffered from injury, abuse or neglect and are in need of medical treatment. Under the Program, rescue organizations will transport these animals to an approved STAR Program veterinarian for treatment, and LAAS will pay a portion of the qualifying treatment costs. Please share this poor pup’s plight with approved rescue organizations.

  1. We have a blind dog right now. Since dogs use their noses to orient themselves to their world, lack of vision is not a huge problem!!! We have had other blind dogs in the past and they are like any other dog…….

Our current precious little blind treasure is like any other dog: loves goodies, will steal food if he thinks he can get away with it, loves snuggling with anyone who will have him on their lap, loves his Grammy and Grampy, loves his parents, rules the bed with a titanium paw, HATES bath time and vet visits with every fiber of his being………

I wouldn’t hesitate to adopt another blind dog…….. they are fantastic companions???
