In San Antonio, Texas, a 12-week-old puppy is scheduled to lose his life at San Antonio Animal Cares Service. His name is Petey, and how sad to know that his short life has been one of neglect and pain.

Animal advocates and rescuers have pledged funds for an approved rescue organization to free him from the shelter. Poor Petey suffers from mange, and although his coat is almost gone, treatment by a veterinarian will almost certainly improve this sweet little one’s health and well-being.

He’s absolutely adorable and a baby. I hope someone local can open up their heart and home for this precious treasure. He deserves to be part of a loving furever family who will treat him as a beloved family member for his entire life.
