Who abandons their dog in the forest with a broken leg? And as if that isn’t tragic enough, an unknown, coldhearted owner left the poor eight-month-old puppy with his bed, food and toys. It was painfully apparent to assume the dog had been left alone to die where no one would find him. But why?
Of course, there are no answers to the questions about the cruelty inflicted upon this poor pup. Since being reported and picked up by animal control officers, he has been at the Rockdale County Animal Services in Conyers, Georgia, but any kind of future is shortly scheduled to end.
And when the puppy’s story went viral on social media, Humans and Animals United, a 501c3 non-profit, no-kill, volunteer animal rescue organization, stepped forward.
And on Saturday, an unnamed puppy left abandoned in the woods, scheduled to be euthanized at the shelter, was rescued.
Hank is as sweet as they come! Only a puppy at 8 months old yet has been through so much. His tail started wagging once he knew he was being taken into the veterinary hospital. We cannot imagine why anyone would dump him with a broken leg. Left him with his bed, toys and food in the woods. Whoever you are please know that Hank is now safe and will never be hurt again.
